Overview

Isla Contoy is a National Park protected by the government as it is home of more than a hundred and fifty migrating and resident bird species; it is also an important nesting place for Sea Turtles. This isolated island is just a short boat ride from Cancun and it is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean; for its white sands and turquoise waters, it is commonly compared to a paradise.

In this tour you can snorkel in one of the most preserved coral reef in the Caribbean, Ixlache Reef. It is just infront of the Island and it is part of Isla Contoy National Park which guarantees you will see a vast variety of tropical fish and sea life. Once in the island, you can explore the island on foot, visit the Museum and the Observatory on your own or do it with our certified guides by the SEMARNAT visiting the dunes, knowing the different species of flora and fauna and the lagoon of birds. Also if you decide not to perform any walk you can rest peacefully on the beautiful beaches. Your tour can not be complete without savoring a delicious meal highlighted by the local specialty, BBQ Fish "Tik-in-chik".

After visiting Contoy Island, we will stop at Isla Mujeres downtown where you can make some shoppings or just walk around through its picturesques and colorful streets and meet friendly people.

Daily Schedules: 08:00 AM Duration of the tour: from 9 am to 5:30 pm aprox with 1 hour of snorkeling and 1 hour at Isla Mujeres.

Kids under 5 years old are free of charge. Snorkeling last 40 min and there is a guide for each group of ten people. Snorkeling will depend on weather conditions.

Remember to use biodegradable sunscreen to protect your skin, the environment and marine species. Bring towels, dry clothes, hat, sunglasses and cash for tips, etc. We recommend you to bring camera and binoculars. Wearing safety vests during snorkeling is compulsory.
